Yay!

Exams are finished--- YAY! I can get caught up on some reading now.... hehe and school work!

Yet Another...

Another excerpt- please comment. This is about a girl named Shona who has just moved from New York to Montana to live with her grandmother.
"Well, Shona, that is one interesting style of dress." said grandma as she examined my all black outfit. I was in that stage of rebellion- I was mad at everyone for making me move to lousy Montana.
"Hmm." I replied. The last thing on my list was talking to gardening grandma.
"So thats what the Cheryl was saying... talking about her granddaughter being... emu? Wearing all black and such." Grandma fiddled over the stove as she put on a pot of tea.
"Emo, grandma. Like emotional." I thumped down at the kitchen table. Emu. Emo. This was going to be rough. Grandma started laughing.
"Oh dear! I am awfully old... can't keep up with this slang." she giggled and set an empty milk bottle filled with flowers on the table. I pulled out my sketch book and doodled the flowers. The flowers I were doodling were different, though. The flowers were huge and bursting with life. I sketched a tiny grandma, standing back from the flowers, astonished by the large height.
"An artist are you?" Grandma chirped. I shuffled the notebook into my bag.
"Eh, no."

Book Review/Summary 1

I recently read a fabulous book by a writer who goes by the name Psuedonym Bosch. Of course with a secret name comes a secret book. Seriously, the name of the book is a secret. It is called The Name of this Book is a Secret. It is a fabulous book about a young girl who is disaster ready in her disaster-less town and he hyper active friend. They go on a mission to explore a magicians house after a real estate agent sold them an iold belonging of the magician. They then find out about the magicians whole life, and his secrets. It was an excellent book full of adventure but at times quite tedious. It lacks detail but is otherwise a fun book!

yet Another

Yet another one of my raw excerpts. This involves a young French girl named Mathilde who is part of a French colonization near Cuba. She is preparing to move to Cuba.
One day Papa came home with his basket of meats and spices and coffee and papaya and says: Little Mathilde, you and me, mama and Aurelie, we go to Cuba. Coo-ba. Blue skies, crystal beaches, and lotsa papayas is what awaits, baby. We’ll be Cuban like your grandmamma, that’s where your olive skin and dark hair come from, non? You’ll fit right in… Cuba is da place to be. You ready? It was the same response each time he said it: Papa, non! I won’t go! What about the settlement? Parisians sent us to do something great. You took me from Paris; you can’t take me from the island. And every time: J’adore you, petite Mathilde. I don’t want to take it away, baby. Think about it, Elodie-de will go witchu, family go witchu, puppy go witchu. Parisian wants us to do things in Coo-ba! And remember hunky Coo-ba men you can marry one day! I would giggle and hope he was joking, and that was the end. But tomorrow we were really leaving. I would start over. Again.

Chapter 1

Heya! Check out an excerpt of one of my newest writings! It is more of a dialogue/playwrite. It involves a young teenager named Helena and when she meets her boyfriend, Danny.
Danny: (Watches Helena climb onto roof from his bedroom window) Hey.
Helena: (Screams) Oh my Lord! What are you doing?
Danny: (Nonchalantly) Watching you. I never caught your name.
Helena: (Catching breathe, leaning on side of window.) Helena. Don't scare me like that.
Danny: I'm Danny. Why are you on your roof?
Helena: (Climbing up again) I was planning on playing guitar.
Danny: Don't you think that might irritate the neighbors?
Helena: This is Tennessee man. If a guitar bothers you, you belong in Alaska.
Danny: Yes ma'am.
Helena: So how long have you been watching me? (Grabbing guitar from below balcony)
Danny: Since Tuesday.
Helena: Thank goodness for curtains.
Danny: I like to listen to you sing. You are like a little artsy maniac.
Helena: Thank you. (Strums guitar)
Danny: May I join you?
Helena: (Lights candle) Don't plan on going through the door, it's after ten.
Danny: So I'll jump. (Leaps across the small space between the homes)
Helena: (Breathing heavily) Ah! You about gave me a heart attack.
Danny: I am still utterly puzzled by the fact no one has dubbed you their girlfriend.
Helena: (Gasps) What do you mean?
Danny: You are the perfect little Helena. Talented, pretty, scared easily.
Helena: (Giggles) Oh stop it! Besides, I think I already found someone who I like.
Danny: (Disappointed) Oh. Who's that?
Helena: You. (Giggles)
Danny: (Wraps arm around Helena) Good enough for me. Lets play some guitar.
